Where the Wild Ones Watch Over Us
A quiet encounter unfolds in a pale, wintry landscape.
A child stands among three extraordinary creatures, small in scale yet completely unafraid. Above them, an immense wolf-like guardian lowers its head towards a delicate fox, while a white dog watches quietly nearby. There is no visible danger, no dramatic movement — only stillness, trust, and the unspoken feeling of being watched over.
Where the Wild Ones Watch Over Us explores the fragile space between childhood and the untamed natural world. Through its dreamlike proportions, the animals become more than companions. They emerge as guardians, memories, and silent symbols of protection.
Rendered in a restrained palette of soft ivory, weathered grey, muted brown, and charcoal, the artwork carries the atmosphere of a distant winter memory. Its finely textured, painterly surface creates a subtle tension between reality and imagination.
At its heart, this work is about belonging — the rare and comforting feeling of standing somewhere small and vulnerable, yet knowing that you are not alone.
